After ten years practising as a solicitor here in Edinburgh I began
training for ministry spending three years at Edinburgh University and
then a further year as an assistant in St Ninian's, Costorphine. I was
ordained in Wardie on 27th September 1990.
Dorothy and I have been married since 1980 and we have one son. For
recreation I enjoy reading, listening to music, singing and sport. As a
season ticket holder at Easter Road I have learned to cope with
disappointment and to maintain eternal optimism!
Parish ministry is a great privilege and I cannot imagine doing anything
else. This is a challenging but a very exciting time to be part of the
church as we try to discover what it means to be the body of Christ in
21st century Scotland.
In Wardie we are trying to do our bit to meet the challenge, along with
our neighbouring congregations and I am very glad to be part of that,
surrounded as I am, by a wonderful team of people.
