Holy Communion
Holy Communion is a gift of God to the Church and it gives us our identity. In Wardie we celebrate the sacrament at least once each week and we believe that as we do so in a variety of ways so God opens to us new dimensions of his grace. As God offers himself in bread and wine we welcome to Christ’s table everyone who comes in response to Christ’s invitation; everyone who in faith weak or strong; everyone who in hope comes to be fed and renewed for the journey of faith and life. We are currently exploring ways in which we can meaningfully include children in our celebrations and are seeking God’s guiding hand in this. Sacramental services are held on almost every Wednesday evening of the year at 9.30pm and at least once every month during our 11.00am Sunday service as well as at other times.
Anyone who is unable to attend Church due to illness or infirmity is welcome to contact Brian Hilsley 552 3328 minister@wardie.org.uk who will be very pleased to discuss arrangements for a home celebration of Holy Communion.
