Children

One of the most remembered sayings of Jesus is “Let the children come to me and do not forbid them!”

We take that command very seriously and we try very hard to make Wardie a child friendly place where children feel at home, welcomed and loved. As a consequence, over the years we have been richly blessed by the presence of children and their contribution to our life and worship.

Children’s activities for all ages abound! Music, drama, dancing feature as do the opportunities provided by the Guide and Scout movements.

In partnership with parents and families we try to give a particular emphasis to activities which will help children grow with experience of the Christian faith and the life of the Church. Kidz @ Wardie, Messy Church and our annual Holiday Club are all very popular.

There is more information elsewhere on this site about these and other groups for children. All our children’s work is governed by the Church of Scotland Child Protection regulations, which involves vetting and police checks for all leaders etc.
