Trinity Gala 2022: the latest!

trinitygala_flyer_crop
Firstly, save the date! Sunday 28th August, 2022
We’ll be looking for homes for our 50 for sale signs – so if you’re keen, please let us know. The signs help us fund and advertise the Gala and otherwise are just a bit of Gala fun. We’ll be distributing them after church on Sunday 14th August and they come down again just after the Gala.
Then, if you feel prone to a bit of baking – please know that all donations will be very welcome at the Wardie Ladies baking stall on the day! If anyone fancies doing a bit of jam making, we still have some lovely ‘Gala’ labels to give that finishing touch!
Foodbank donations – there will be a foodbank stall this year and donations will be very welcome on the day. The best things to bring for this might be canned versions of soup, fruit, vegetables, stew, fish or beans – or pasta (wholegrain best) or rice (brown best).
Two young entrepreneurs have decided to collect second-hand jewellery to sell at the Gala – if anyone has any unwanted jewellery donations they would like to make, please speak to Monica Sutherland or email monicahoyosflight@hotmail.com to arrange this.
Four-legged friends – that’s quite a thought when you think how many more dogs have been added to the neighbourhood over the last couple of years – so expect a barking great time at this year’s dog show. Calling all Golden Oldies (7 years +); Trinity’s Best Bitch and Best Dog; our Best Six Legs; Waggiest Tail; Cutest Puppy and our Best Decorated Lead – forewarned is forearmed!
Remember that funds raised at this year’s Gala will go to Edinburgh Direct Aid and Wardie Church, so we raise the Trinity rooftops with some community spirit whilst doing it for a good cause!
Please email trinitycommunitygala@gmail.com with any queries.
